Dr. Gregg Takashima founded the Parkway Veterinary Hospital in 1986, on the belief that human health and animal health are synergistically intertwined.

BACKGROUND

He is a long time advocate for the human-animal connection, and feels it is his role as a veterinarian to further this bond by practicing excellence in pet-health care.
He has been involved in the community by serving as president and board member for the Portland Veterinary Medical Association, the Dove Lewis Memorial Emergency and Critical Care Animal Hospital, and the Portland Community College Technician Advisory Board.
Currently, Gregg is chair of the Delta Society, an international human service organization that is dedicated to improving human health, independence and quality of life through relationships with therapy and assistance animals. He is also on the Board of Directors with the American Animal Hospital Association, a national organization that promotes excellence in veterinary medicine and service standards.

HOBBIES

When Gregg isn't at the hospital, he is an avid fly fisherman and enjoys traveling, adventuresome wining and dining, gardening and the arts with his wife Laura. His dogs participate whenever possible.
